Our first Kenyan coffee of the season takes us right back to the early days of our roastery in 2016. It’s been a while since a Kenyan coffee truly leapt off the cupping table like this exceptional AA washed lot from the Eaagads Estate did a few months ago. This coffee embodies everything we love about Kenyan beans—vibrant juiciness, bursting with bright fruit notes, and a luscious, syrupy texture that’s simply irresistible.

The Eaagads Estate, owned by the Eaagads Company, sits in the heart of Kenya’s Kiambu region, just outside Nairobi. This area boasts a rich coffee heritage, shaped by large estates established by the British in the early 20th century. Following decolonisation, these estates transitioned to local ownership. While smallholder farms now dominate, estates like Eaagads continue a proud legacy, backed by generations of unparalleled expertise and deep-rooted knowledge. Kiambu’s fertile volcanic soils, cool climate, and steady rainfall create the perfect environment for cultivating bright, vibrant coffees with remarkable complexity. Steeped in Kikuyu culture, Kiambu’s coffee story is one of tradition, community, and unwavering dedication—cementing Kenya’s reputation as a world-class coffee origin.

This coffee simply bursts from the cup. Expect an explosion of juicy blackcurrant and crisp red apple notes, followed by a lingering, sweet vanilla finish that will have you reaching for a second brew before you know it.

*Our coffee is freshly roasted each week and orders are dispatched on Tuesday and Thursday for orders received by 12pm the day before.
