Peruvian coffee has quietly become some of the most high quality and consistent in the world of the last few years. Although it is unable to compete in terms of volume with its neighbours to the east and north, the cool mountainous regions that dominate the country make for ideal growing conditions for coffee. With support from the government there has been renewed enthusiasm and momentum in the coffee growing commuity.
This coffee is produced by multiple small hold producers in the Cajamarca region of Peru, on the border of the amazon rain forest. La Cima translates to “The Top’ or “Mountain Top” in this case as all the coffee is grow between 1500 to 1800 meters above sea level. It is washed and consists of the Catuai and Caturra varieties.
It is a superb coffee with a fruity but balanced profile and notes of mango, lemon and apricot. The kind of drink you drink everyday.
*Our coffee is freshly roasted each week and orders are dispatched on Tuesday and Thursday for orders received by 12pm the day before.
