Few coffees embody the ethos of our roastery as clearly as those from Shyira. Now in our sixth consecutive year sourcing from this exceptional washing station, it remains a highlight of our purchasing calendar. In collaboration with our trusted import partners, Raw Material, and the locally based Muharo Trading Company, significant efforts have been made on the ground to enhance both quality and infrastructure at the station. The outcome of this partnership is consistently outstanding—coffees that, in our view, rank among the finest being produced globally today.

Established in 2017, the Shyira washing station is located in Rwanda’s Nyabihu region at an elevation of 2,000 metres above sea level. It receives coffee cherry from smallholder farmers cultivating at altitudes reaching up to 2,400 metres, making this some of the highest-grown coffee in the country. The station benefits from abundant access to clean water, courtesy of a river running directly through its grounds—an asset that plays a key role in producing coffees of exceptional clarity and precision.

This lot is a washed process from the most recent harvest. It showcases a clean and elegant profile, with vibrant citrus and floral notes complemented by a raisin-like sweetness. A refined and memorable cup that reflects the quality and care invested at every stage of its journey.

*Our coffee is freshly roasted each week and orders are dispatched on Tuesday and Thursday for orders received by 12pm the day before.
